Making Your Vision Reality

In Habakkuk 2:2-3 it says: "Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay."

One of the most powerful lessons that I have learned about setting and reaching goals is that you have to make your visions and goals concrete by writing them down. Many people have visions and dream about what they want to do, but they fail to write it down and have no plan to follow it.

Here's your Vision challenge:

Pick something you'd like to accomplish in the next 30 days and write it down. Then write down 2-3 things you'll have to do to get it done. Be bold and share it here with others. (When you share it publically, you get support, encouragement and accountability).

What a great challenge, Nicole! And I love the Scripture reference, how encouraging! God gave me an idea for a business just last week and I've told just two friends about it so far and you're so right...they have been SO encouraging to me. How timely that you would post your comments. :) I'm trying to actually made some headway on my idea, there really are two concrete steps I can take right away...and it's so funny how sometimes life gets in the way and can distract us from our dream and plans. I recall someone years ago who said, "Ideas are a dime a dozen, it's doing everything you can to bring it to pass that counts." (Something like that). Anyway, it's so wonderful how God can give us an idea and then will even help us accomplish it, step by step by step, encouraging us along the way. What a wonderful Father He is!! :)

WOW! This is scary. I am SO annoyed at myself for the amount of unhealthy food I consume and the way my stomach looks as a result! Here are 3 things I am doing to do to reduce it: 1) Instead of eating something unhealthy, drink a glass of water. 2) Instead of eating something unhealthy, do some physical exercise 3) Allow myself one treat per day.

Right on, Nicole! In my latest book, "It's About Time," we found that the "balanced" ladies - the ones who were happy with their lives - were the only ones who knew what that vision of happiness looked like. They were the one in four ladies who had written goals. Proverbs 4:26 says, "Know where you are headed and you'll stay on solid ground." (CEV version). Ooooh... I think these will have to be our inspiration verses in the future:) Ladies... are you up for the challenge?
